While the way we work has changed a lot, the way we save for retirement hasn’t. Each year, millions of people change jobs, but leave behind their 401(k)s and miss out on significant retirement savings. This is a problem for employers too, who pay $700M annually in extra administrative fees for their former employees’ old 401(k) accounts.
We started Capitalize to solve this problem – and it’s not a unique one to the United States. By helping people locate, streamline, and maximize old retirement accounts, we’re making it easier for everyone to retire with dignity.
While this may not change the world at large, we’re thankful we can change people’s lives for the better.
