Clients can find their account numbers here: https://app.carry.com/settings/accounts , or by logging in to app.carry.com, clicking on their account icon (initials in the top right) -> Settings -> Accounts tab.
To open a new account, start on the dashboard (app.carry.com) and click on the “Open Account” button next to the product they’d like to open (for instance, “Roth IRA” -> Open Account). If the account they want to open is not visible, click the “+ Add New Account” button to view additional account types.
For an open account, the transfer process varies by custodian. For DriveWealth accounts, you can view the wire or check instructions by going to app.carry.com -> click on the product (for example, “Roth IRA”) -> “Transfer or Withdraw” button in the top right -> “Transfer to Carry”. Clients will fill out some information (the sending account type, the receiving account and portfolio, an estimated dollar amount, and whether the transfer is via check or wire) and they will receive the check or wire instructions specific to their account.
For American Estate & Trust (AET) accounts, the process is similar, however the transfer paperwork is submitted via AET on the client’s behalf. Clients should follow the same Transfer or Withdraw -> Transfer to Carry flow, and complete the steps there (involves printing a form, “wet-ink” signing it, and uploading a picture of the complete form to Carry).
